Kent (RI) county

Kent County är ett county i delstaten Rhode Island, USA. Kent är ett av de fem områdena i staten och ligger i den centrala delen av Rhode Island. Den största staden i countyt är Warwick. År 2010 hade Kent County 166 158 invånare.

Historik

The county was formed in 1750 from the southern third of Providence County.

It was named after the county of Kent, England. Kent County, like other counties in Rhode Island, no longer has governmental functions (other than as court administrative and sheriff corrections boundaries).
